In the early spring, baseball fans from all over the country flock to the area to enjoy an intimate baseball game at Roger Dean Stadium which is spring training home to the St. Louis Cardinals and Florida Marlins. During the regular baseball season the stadium is home to the farm teams Palm Beach Cardinals and Jupiter Hammerheads. In 1902, Henry Flagler (Co-founder of Standard Oil) built the Gilded Age estate, Whitehall, for his wife Mary Lily Kenan in Palm Beach. Today, Whitehall is a National Historic Landmark and is open to the public as the Flagler Museum. Flagler's Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) linked the entire east coast of Florida, from Jacksonville to Key West, establishing agriculture and tourism as Florida's leading industries.
